Flag:The adornment depicts a black, double-headed eagle, which was supposed to have been already depicted by the national hero Skanerberg in his crest, and which was adopted in 1912 when Albania became independent. In 1945 the red star with yellow boundaries, a symbol of communism, was introduced, which was again removed in 1992.
